GLASSES CASE WITH SPECIAL CLOSURE ONLINE WORKSHOP

A total of 10 hours long online course with Judit Pócs, on the 19th and 20th of October (Saturday and Sunday) 2024 from 5pm to 10 pm (Central European Time)

Do you have sunglasses or glasses and don”t know where to store them?

I”ll show you how you can make a case with a special shape and closure for them.

I recommend this course for beginners and advanced alike.

About the workshop

In this course, we will make a glasses case with an interesting shape and closure, the
surface of which we will decorate with pre-felted patterns. The long nose of the lid
extends to the back of the case, where the strap for closure is located. The case
closes by pulling the long nose through the strap. Its shape is made more organic by
the two tendril-like extensions, which can also be decorated with a spiral line. The surface of the basic colors is made rich and exciting by self-made prefelt patterns.

What will you learn?

  • basic felting techniques
  • making a hollow object
  • making two-layer prefelt
  • patterning using prefelt
  • the design of the closing strap on the back side of the case
  • making a strong and durable nose part

  • making a gradient cord with spiral decoration
  • connecting the cord to the curved horns
